What is Uttarbasti ?
Uttarbasti is a specialized Ayurvedic Panchakarma therapy. It involves instilling medicated oils, ghee, or herbal decoctions directly into the urinary or reproductive tracts.
Indication :
Uttar Basti is prescribed for disorders of the pelvic, urinary, and reproductive systems:
Helps for Implantation before IUI or IVF
- Female Infertility & Gynecological Conditions:
- Blocked fallopian tubes (tubal blockage)
- Recurrent miscarriages or implantation failure
- Menstrual disorders: Dysmenorrhea (Kashtartava), menorrhagia (Asrigdara / Pushpodreka), and amenorrhea (Rajahnasha)
- Chronic vaginal and uterine disorders (Yonivyapada)
- Uterine prolapse (Yonibhramsha)
- Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) sequelae
- Male Infertility & Urological Conditions:
- Sperm and seminal fluid disorders (Shukra Dushti)
- Difficulty or pain in urination (Mutrakrichha) and urinary retention (Mutraghata)
- Dribbling of urine or weak sphincter control (Bindu Srava)
- Chronic prostate inflammation or lower urinary tract symptoms
- Small urinary calculi (Sharkara Ashmari)
